Josh deployed to Afghanistan with the Arizona Army National Guard in 2007-2008 first receiving his Combat Action Medal with 1/158 Infantry Regiment.  He then went to the New Jersey Nation Guard from 2009-2010. After doing his time in New Jersey he transferred to the 1/181 Infantry Regiment in the Massachusetts National Guard and with them he deployed again to Afghanistan. Upon returning from that deployment from 2010-2011, he returned to Arizona to be with the 1/158 Infantry Regiment again. He deployed once more with 1/158 in 2012-2013 to Afghanistan. Josh is currently serving as a Staff Sergeant in the Arizona Army National Guard. Josh joined the VFW back in 2008. He has held multiple positions since being active in the VFW. Along with holding many titles before he has also volunteered countless hours to the VFW.
